I love home educating my children, it puts a completely different perspective on the world! I follow  children’s interests to enable them to learn about the world and life around them, and when any new children are introduced into my home I look forward to encouraging them in their interests too.

We meet regularly with other families who home educate.  The weekly group that we go to is in Mansfield, (about 6 families -like a toddler group, but for families of all ages!) we visit places such as Brierley Forest and Sutton Lawns, and in the winter month indoor places such as play centres and Wollaton Hall.  The age range is from 3 month old baby and toddlers of 2 to 9 year olds- they all play well together.

 

We also have occasional activities we take part in with families across Nottinghamshire, such as theatre trips and museum visits.  The majority of the time we meet other families we know, as I feel familiarity is important to children.   I will let parents know of any outing that goes beyond our normal weekly routine.
